Maybe it’s a quiet place where only the wind is playing with the puffy clouds and bending the tips of tall trees to its will.
The Quiet Horizons landscape collection is a collection of those quiet places in our dreams that offer us true escapism. Each of these pieces was created with a unique character, ready to captivate and charm the onlooker. They will elevate any space they are placed in and will keep on giving their unconditional joy and mischievousness to their new homes.

Collection Notes
The landscapes painted for this collection are inspired by images of the real horizons of the seasons changing from summer to autumn. It’s the time where harvests begin all across the South African countryside, wildflowers like ‘kosmos’ bloom, and afternoon rain showers dampen the scorching summer temperatures.
The color palettes for Quiet Horizons were pulled from photographs of blue-grey skies, pink dawn sunrises and yellowing fields. This gave space for a range of muted pastel pinks, greens, yellows and oranges. These colors came together to create soft skies, whimsical fields, quaint houses and charming trees. A brighter palette came to light too, where periwinkle and cerulean blue create a moody contrast with vibrant yellows and mid-tones from murky Paynes grey and olive greens.
The Quiet Horizons collection focuses on the majestic simplicity of the landscape while trying to capture it in a way that encourages expansion beyond the confines of the paper. It wants the onlooker to imagine the vastness of nature while finding an escape or tranquility within it.
On the surface, every piece wants to inspire and uplift you, but always has the ability to navigate your forest of moods. Underneath the whimsical pink surface it connects with feelings of melancholy, isolation and even sadness. It can soothe you but knows when say nothing at all too. This collection is unique as it really has the ability to move with your mood and your point of view will change every time you look at one of the unique pieces.

Dreamy landscapes to elevate any space
There are 14 original landscape paintings available in this collection, varying in size.
The largest painting in the collection is ‘A New Horizon’ 420 x 594 mm (A2 paper size)
The paintings are painted on 280gsm Ivory Fabriano 100% cotton paper, and one or two were painted on 300gsm 100% cotton paper. See the listing for more details. Each piece is painted with acrylic paint and varnished for protection.
All the paintings are sold unframed, and images where frames/mountings are present, are there to give the collector a better idea of how the painting will look like framed and in a new home.
