Hi there, I am so glad you’re here.

I’m Dirkie, the artist behind Mood Forest. I work from a small home studio in the beautiful countryside town of Stellenbosch, South Africa.

Here I draw inspiration from my natural surroundings. The clouds that sweep over the mountains most mornings and the mist that swirls between the tree tops when I go for an early hike. These scenes leave me feeling a deep connection with nature that I translate into color on paper.

I enjoy creating bespoke pieces full of vibrancy that has the ability to move with your mood and encourage you to dream and expand your imagination.
